Folweni man arrested for body thrown into the ocean

He was severely assaulted and his body thrown into the ocean.

A Folweni man was arrested for murder on Sunday, 1 March after the body of a missing man washed up at Blue Lagoon Beach.

The body had injuries and a case of murder was opened for investigation. The initial investigation conducted revealed that the victim had attended a party on 16 February where a fight broke out. He was severely assaulted by known suspects and his body thrown into the ocean.

The investigation led the team to Folweni where a 23-year-old man was arrested. More arrests are imminent as the investigative team is still continuing with investigation. The suspect is expected to appear in the Durban Magistrates Court on Thursday, 5 March.
