Win big bucks by naming Amanzimtoti waste network

Post your name suggestions on Clean Surf Project’s Facebook page or submit your entry via e-mail.

The KZN Marine Waste Network South Coast is looking for an alternate name and you can stand to win big bucks if you suggest something appropriate.

“We are looking for an isiZulu name that best describes the pilot project, from the Umbogintwini River to Toti Lagoon, a nine kilometre stretch of coastline, focusing on clean-up campaigns (coastal as well as upstream), recycling, education, waste management infrastructure and so on. Keywords include ‘live clean, surf clean – save our seas – end plastic in our environment’,” said media liaison, Andre Beetge.

The winner will be announced at the launch of the KZN Waste Marine Network South Coast that takes place on Saturday, 14 March at Toti “Join us on the beach to participate in the clean-up to claim the prize of R5 000, sponsored by Polyco and Plastics SA.

The closing date for the competition is on Tuesday, 10 March. To enter, post your name suggestions on Clean Surf Project’s Facebook page or submit your entry via e-mail to cleansurfproject@gmail.com. For more information, call 082-802-3353.
