Galleria management urges shoppers to be alert

In the event of another incident, Timul urged shoppers to be alert, remain calm and move away from any active scene.

Following the jewellery store robbery at Galleria Mall on Tuesday, 18 February, marketing manager, Anusha Timul has shed some light on the aftermath.

A group of armed men entered a jewellery store and held up the employees before fleeing. Two of the men were later arrested following a shoot out with police.

“We will continue to work closely with the SAPS, security companies and community groups to collectively act against crime.  The staff at the store are dealing with the aftermath as best as they can,” she said.

In the event of another incident, Timul cautioned shoppers to be alert, remain calm and move away from any active scene.
