Little ones read aloud

The special day that celebrates reading, was created in 2010 as an opportunity for people all around the world to celebrate the joy of reading aloud.

In honour of World Read Aloud day, Grade 3 learners from Mdumezulu Primary School based in Umbumbulu, were invited to Galleria Mall Municipal Library, on Wednesday, 5 February.

The special day that celebrates reading, was created in 2010 as an opportunity for people all around the world to celebrate the joy of reading aloud. It is also part of a movement that advocates literacy as a fundamental human right.

Librarian, Zinhle Ngomane, said “This is a wonderful initiative that promotes reading among the youth. We want to empower children and let them know that reading is a powerful tool which can open up the imagination and expand their knowledge.”
