SATURDAY, 1 FEBRUARY: BirdLife Port Natal hosts an outing to Pigeon Valley Nature Reserve, Glenwood at 7.15am. A summer visit to this small remnant of coastal bush. Bring chairs and a picnic. Call Terry Walls on 082-871-6260 for more information.

THURSDAY, 6 AND THURSDAY, 20 FEBRUARY: Burgers and bowls at Amanzimtoti Bowling Club will now be held on the first and third Thursdays of the month during the summer months. Registration at 4.45pm to 5.15pm for 5.30pm start. Open to all whether you are a bowler or not. Cost is R25 for the game and R30 for a burger. Game lasts just over an hour with lots of fun, music and lucky prizes. Wear flat soled takkies or sandals. Bowls will be available.
