Amanzimtoti repeat offender nabbed by CCPO

My informer called to say he was hanging around Winkle station.

A repeat offender, who has been arrested more than once, found himself behind bars once again after stealing a cell phone at a Warner beach pub at the weekend.

“After getting information from my informer and viewing the CCTV footage, a call to be on the lookout for him went out. On Tuesday, 21 January my informer called to say he was hanging around Winkle station,” said CCPO committee member, George Snodey.

After calling a supervisor and some members for assistance, Snodey went in search of him. “With the guards coming in from Camp Road, the suspect walked into Aracuria Road, then into Kingsburgh Sopping Centre from the bottom entrance, but unbeknown to him, I was watching him and waiting patiently as he walked right into me.” He was detained and taken to Toti SAPS.
