Toti Ramblers will hike through the Everton Conservancy to the Everton waterfall, also known as Gillett’s Falls from the Acutts Road bridge on Sunday, 24 November.

It is a fairly easy hike, but bring a hiking stick. The hike is about 3km, with an out and back loop along the Molweni river. The hikers will stop for a short break at the falls. The bird life is lovely and most of the hike is through a forest.

Once they are back at the Acutt`s Road bridge, the ‘energetic’ members can continue with the trail towards Porcupine falls and then loop back to the Acutt’s Road bridge, a distance of about 4km. This trail runs along the Molweni river in places and is also through a forest.

The entrance fee is a donation of R20 per person towards Everton Conservancy. Bring sun screen, a hat, chair and own picnic. Meet at Lords and Legends parking area for lifts with a 7am departure and travel in convoy. An indemnity form must be completed if not already done, so have your ID number available.
