A third suspect has been arrested after the shooting at Arbour Crossing this morning.
Captain Charlene van der Spuy confirmed that two vehicles were positively identified as being stolen from Newlands East and Durban North. She said one was an Uber. “The third suspect was arrested along with a fourth suspect who was allegedly contacted to pick up the fleeing robbers.”

Van der Spuy said the other suspects fled the scene through the back entrance. They are still at large.
“All the various units were on scene, that includes SAPS, armed response units, K9 unit, task team and forensics. None of the members in attendance sustained injuries. Because of the extensive gun fire, the whole scene has to be combed by forensics for spent cartridges.”
Van der Spuy said the suspects fled on foot, leaving their vehicles, riddled with bullet holes, on scene.
Van der Spuy said the scene is still active and the community is advised to stay clear of the area.
More follow-ups will follow.
