Tennis club’s wine festival promises to be a treat

An auction of various items will take place during the course of the evening.

All five courts were used for social games on Saturday afternoon, 26 October, at Amanzimtoti Tennis Club.

Preparations for the wine festival and auction is well under way. To book your space, contact any one of the committee members, or pop down to the club on Wednesday, Friday morning or Saturday and there will be someone there to assist with information. The evening will consist of wine tasting and wine education presented by representatives from eight wine estates.

An auction of various items will take place during the course of the evening. Snacks will also be available. This takes place on Friday, 8 November, at the Tennis Clubhouse from 6pm to 10pm. The cost is R100 per person and deadline for confirmation of your attendance and payment is Friday, 1 November.

Posters with all details are displayed in the clubhouse. A huge amount of support for this fund raiser evening is anticipated. Any assistance with preparation for this event will be greatly appreciated, even if you are not attending. Contact any of the committee members in this regard.

Note there is a poster on the notice board in the clubhouse with information regarding a tournament at Brighton Tennis Club on Sunday, 1 December. Interested players to note entry details.

Diarise Saturday, 7 December, for the club’s year end/ Christmas function. Details will follow soon.

The development clinic continues on Saturday mornings from 8.30am.

Tennis coach, Loraine Osborne and her assistants are on hand to show the youngsters how the game is played.
