Swimmers secure top spots in eThekwini junior champs

Aqua Swimming Academy had a few swimmers compete in the eThekwini junior championships last weekend.

All the swimmers who entered managed to beat most of their personal best times and Kate Andersson and Kai Franken received four medals between them. Some of the swimmers made it through to the final which is the top 10 placing.

  • Kate Andersson – five personal bests out of 11 races and one silver medal – six finals (top 10)
  • Kai Franken – eight personal bests out of nine races, two bronze and one silver – nine finals (top 10)
  • Janico Beukes – six personal bests out of seven races
  • Trent Douglas – nine personal bests out of 10 races – four finals (top 10)
  • Connor Franken – nine personal bests out of 11 races – four finals (top 10)
  • Dylan Gander – seven personal bests out of 11 races – five finals (top 10)
  • Jason Osorio – seven personal bests out of eight races
  • Tyne van Achterberg – four personal bests out of five races – two finals (top 10)
