Bools Day competition supported by bowlers

There will be social bowls on Friday, 4 October at 1.30pm for 2pm.

In the final of Winkle Bowling Club’s women’s trips, Lou Bingham, Elmarie Young and Slyveigh Ananiadis defeated Elaine Critchlow, Sheila Court and Sandy Snyman.

In the men’s 2-4-2 played on Thursday, 26 September, overall winners were Keith Holmes and Dries Snyman. The second session was won by Coy Schrauwen and Paul Davies and the 100 board was won by Les Gibbens. The Bools Day competition was well supported with greens full. A lot of fun was had with bowlers and non-bowlers. The club thanks Sandy Snyman and Elie Cox for all their hard work in the kitchen. The sandwiches and tea served at tea time was thoroughly enjoyed by all. Unfortunately, the monthly trips on Sunday, 28 September, had to be cancelled due to insufficient teams entered.

A reminder that the greens will be closed for maintenance from Monday, 7 October, for six weeks. Members should note that all games from Monday, 7 October, have been cancelled.

There will be social bowls on Friday, 4 October at 1.30pm for 2pm. There will be a meal on Friday evening.
