First team tennis players win women’s 2nd division

Amanzimtoti Tennis Club’s league results are available.

The women’s Saturday second division were won by the first team; in the fifth division the second team finished third; in the men’s Saturday league the team finished sixth.

In the midweek women’s division one, the first team is in number one spot and in division two, the second team finished in fourth position.

Congratulations to the winners and a thank you from the match secretary, Joan Grossett.

With league now complete it’s back to social tennis. A reminder of the social club days; Wednesday morning for the women, afternoon for the men.

Friday morning is open to all and everyone is welcome on Saturday afternoon. Note that on Saturday, 5 October, Toti High, Port Shepstone and Richards Bay Schools will have a tournament at the courts until 1.30pm.

Social games will commence from about 1.45pm. Plans are being made to have the Round Robin Tournament on Saturday, 12 October.

Details will be published next week. The club’s development clinic is closed until school re-opens in October.
