Toti swimmers scoop medals at Margate Sprints

Once again, the club is proving to be the best club in the Amanzimtoti area.

Titans Swimming Club coach, Marno Langeveldt, sent four of his junior levels swimmers to race at the Margate Sprints in Port Shepstone over the weekend of 21 and 22 September.

And once again, the club is proving to be the best club in the Amanzimtoti area. In the U9 age group, Demar van Tonder won silver medals for the 100m backstroke and 100m butterfly, and bronze medals for the 100m freestyle, 50m breaststroke, 100m breaststroke, 50m butterfly and the 200m IM.

In the 10-year-old age group, MD van Tonder scooped gold medals for the 100m backstroke and 100m breaststroke, silver for the 50m backstroke and 100m butterfly, and bronze medals for the 50m and 100m freestyle, 50m butterfly and the 200m IM.

In the 11-year-old age group, Tristan Swart managed to win eight gold medals for the four 50m races, 100m freestyle, backstroke and butterfly, as well as the 200m IM.

Reece Jones swam in the 12-year-old age group and won a silver medal for the 200m IM and bronze medals for the 50m freestyle, breaststroke and butterfly.
