A recently released housebreaker was reunited with his prison pals after he was nabbed by response officers in Winklespruit on Monday, 16 September.

“Our tactical response team and CCPO were doing patrols for a specific housebreaker who has been hitting businesses in the Warner Beach area,” said ET’s Tony Lokker. “While in the Winkelspruit area, we were informed of a suspect, who had robbed and stabbed a man on the road minutes earlier, was hiding in the bush behind DSM Mall.”

After getting a description of the suspect, CCPO’s George Snodey and Tony searched the bush and found him hiding in a drain pipe. With help from the Durban South Dog Unit, he was convinced to come out and arrested.
