Give animals a chance to live

No one will judge you for surrendering your pet. They deserve a chance to live.

Following the recent cruelty case of Cindy, who was found abandoned and starving while tied to a tree in Isipingo almost two weeks ago, SPCA manager, Tracey Girling said there will be no judgement if animal owners surrender their pets to the organisation.

“I appeal to all animal owners, if you cannot take care of your pet, bring them into the SPCA.  It gives the animal a second chance rather than leaving them to die.  This is the second case of this sort that we received recently.  Fortunately Cindy was found and is being taken care off.  There was another case in Illovo where a dog was tied to a tree and died from malnourishment.   No one will judge you for surrendering your pet.  But they deserve a chance to live,” she added.

Cindy has since been in rehabilitation.
