VIDEO: Where did bunny chows originate from?

While you may think the 'bunny chow' originated in India, you couldn't find one in that country even if you tried.

Durban is well known for it’s iconic bunny chow. A generous serving of curry – not actually rabbit – of your choice filling a half or quarter loaf of bread has made it into the hearts of those living both in and outside of Durban.

While many may classify this dish as one of Indian origin, you won’t find a bunny chow in the whole of India. It is said that it was the Indians that moved to Durban to work on the sugarcane plantations way back when that actually created this delicious dish.
