Greg takes the win at Toti Bowling Club despite windy conditions

Burgers and bowls takes place on Thursday, 5 September, from 5pm.

Congratulations to Toti Bowling Club’s Greg McLeod who beat Alec Stirzaker in the senior singles final in difficult windy conditions.

In the semi-finals of the women’s nominated pairs, Doreen Salmond and Marion Crouch prevailed over Heather Brown and Dawn Schauer.

On Sunday, 1 September, the club hosted the Picardy Bazooka Moths’ day fundraiser. There was a good turnout with 72 players, including non-bowlers and families. DJ Ian McDonald added to the fun atmosphere, and everyone went home with a prize. Thanks all who supported this good cause.

The AGM and prize-giving takes place on Saturday, 7 September, from noon – your votes are important. All prize winners, runners-up and committee to wear club colours. Bring a plate of snacks for after prize-giving.

At TGIF, Greg Veldtman won the 100 board. Boet Els was not present for the attendance draw, so next week’s draw is worth R250. Ian Mills did not choose the winning key, so next week’s key draw is worth R3 890.

Good bowling to the 20 ABC sides (10 men and 10 women’s teams) playing Port Natal pairs on Sunday, 8 September. There will be both men and women playing at Toti from 8.30am for those who want to watch some top bowlers and lend your support. The bar and kitchen will be open.

Birthday wishes this week to Gert Richter, Brian Masters, Bobby Henderson, Nita Meumann, Elmarie Young, Andy Jones, Lynn Joubert and Noreen Butler.

Burgers and bowls takes place on Thursday, 5 September, from 5pm.
