Enjoy a delicious banana split this ‘sundae’

You can also top up your banana split with nuts, hot fudge, peanut butter, any syrup you like, chocolate sprinkles and other fresh fruits.

August 25 is a sweet and sticky day as it celebrates the banana split, which is a popular and delicious desert treat.

The banana split is enjoyed all around the world and dates back to 1904.  To celebrate this decadent day, treat yourself to a bowl splitting with bananas and ice-cream.

To make a banana split:

  • A scoop or two of ice cream (flavour of your choice)
  • A banana split open and cut up
  • A dash of whipped cream
  • Ice-cream sauce

You can also top up your banana split with nuts, hot fudge, peanut butter, any syrup you like, chocolate sprinkles and other fresh fruits.
