Week 34 – Diary Dates

TUESDAY, 27 AUGUST - SATURDAY, 7 SEPTEMBER

TUESDAY, 27 AUGUST: Sapphire Coast Tourism AGM takes place at Happy Days conference centre at 12.30pm. All paid up members are requested to attend.

WEDNESDAY, 28 AUGUST: 21 Club will celebrate Women’s Month at its luncheon held at Lords and Legends conference room at noon for 12.30pm. Wear your favourite outfit. The guest speaker is Bruce Munro who will speak on favourite heritage sites. Confirmation to attend or not must be received by the relevant committee member by Friday, 23 August. Remember to take along a grocery item for Lions and costume jewellery for the Christmas project.

FRIDAY, 30 AUGUST: Breakfast Club get together at Toti Bowling Club at 9.30am for 10am. For more information, contact Gill Brebner on 082-615-7708.

SATURDAY, 31 AUGUST: Reformed Church market day at Tabor Hall, 5 Middleton Road, Winkelspruit from 9am. There will be a tea garden, pancakes, jaffels, books, needlework and loads more will be on sale.

SATURDAY, 31 AUGUST: Amanzimtoti parkrun takes place each Saturday at 8am and is a free, weekly, 5km timed run or walk starting and finishing in front of Splash Waterworld on the promenade on Amanzimtoti’s main beach.

SUNDAY, 1 SEPTEMBER: British South Africa police braai at Mills Bomb Shellhole, Warner Beach from 11am. Salads and rolls will be provided. Bring your own meat, cutlery and plates. Contact Marie Bowker on 079-386-4185.

SATURDAY, 7 SEPTEMBER: Karaoke fundraiser at the Good Shepherd Anglican Church in Athlone Park from 4.30pm. Cost is R60 per person, which includes cheese and wine, soft drinks and curry and rice.

Call Gloria on 082-497-0767 or Linda Moerdyk on 084-352-8212 to book your table for the evening. Tickets are available from Kim at St Mary’s Anglican Church in Warner Beach.
