[LETTER] Thank you to all involved

We move forward and carry on helping those four footed ones in need. All this because of the wonderful support we received daily from a wonderful South Coast community.

EDITOR – The Scottburgh Classic Car Show organised and run by Peter Fielding has been one of our best fundraisers for years and we are sad that this year was the last one.
Thank you Peter for allowing us to be part of the show. This year was once again a bumper year with the public supporting our hot dog stand and just about clearing out our collectables stall. A wonderful day was had by all and a special thank you to Jacqueline Smith and Niki Kenton who manned the collectables stall. To Jenny Smith and Yvonne Du Plessis, Marianne van Staden and my absolute best half Johnny Koekemoer, who is always by my side, thank you for all your help at the hot dog stand. To Hennie van Staden for selling most of the second hand car parts, you rock.

Once again the Umkomaas Golf Club hosted our annual golf day on Saturday, 13 July, and what a day it was. A total of 56 players enjoyed a great day of golf even though there was a bit of wind, but the sun was shining and the shooters flowing, so a good day was had by all. To all the players, thank you for your support. It was great having you all there giving of your time to those without a voice.

A special thank you to the following persons and businesses for sponsoring the day: Scottburgh Classic Cars, Peter Fielding, Poynter Print, Delima Properties, Smith Supplies, Mavric Trading, Blue Marlin Hotel, Zizabo Electrical, Allan and Barbara Crooks, Supa Quick, David and Lucy Crooks, South Coast Aluminium, Outpost – Ivor Crane, Electro Master, Yeggy Gounden, Pets Deli Scottburgh, Attorney’s Jared Lamb, Scottburgh Steel Works, Gavin Vise, Titan Distribution, Debbie Crossley, Gelone Nel and Dave Mulroy.

A special thanks to Sue Pickevance, Marianne van Staden and Lorraine Brown for all the gifts they collected and brought in to make the day even more special. The golfers loved it all. And so we move forward and carry on helping those four footed ones in need. All this because of the wonderful support we received daily from a wonderful South Coast community. Thank you all.
