Former police officers reunite

The reunion occurred at the Blue Lagoon in Durban.

A former Durban SAPS student, Brigadier Morgan Naicker, sent to Mountain Rise in 1974, were recently reunited with his colleagues from his former station, Mountain Rise after more than 30 years.

The reunion occurred at the Blue Lagoon in Durban. Naicker was enlisted into the service on 9 January, 1974 in Durban and posted to Mountain Rise, where he served until 30 June, 1981 as a sergeant.

In 2004 he retired as a brigadier and cluster commander at Port St Johns.

All the officers have pledged to remain in contact with each other in the future. With the exception of Naicker, who resides in Kingsburgh, all the other officers are settled in Pietermaritzburg.
