Basil Tait’s bird out races the opposition

Doug Fry’s birds continued to hold form finishing second, third and fourth

Saturday, 27 July, saw Amanzimtoti Racing Pigeon Club’s members race young bird from two points, Standerton in the north, and Senekal in the west, a distance of about 370 kilometer.

The previous race saw Basil Tait knocking hard on the door. This week, he broke the door down with a very good win from Standerton and to boot, he was second in the Durban Federation.

Doug Fry’s birds continued to hold form finishing second, third and fourth, followed by Mercer lofts, Bradshaw lofts, Hendrik Havenga and Frikkie Reynecke. The west was won by Doug Fry followed by Basil Tait, and Lyn Rossouw.
