Do you ever get annoyed or sickened by the sound of a person chewing or slurping? There is a scientific name for your irritation.

Scientists call it ‘misophonia’, and for someone suffering with this, mealtimes can be torturous. 

According to an article in the New York Times, the sounds of people chewing, chomping, slurping, gurgling can send them into an instantaneous, blood-boiling rage.
