Sister pleads for missing Amanzimtoti woman’s safe return

Jannet was threatened and instructed to pay R20 000 for her sister's release.

Amanzimtoti missing woman, Wendy Rowan, is still missing after a lead on her kidnapping proved to be a hoax.

“There is still no sign of a body or her whereabouts. All the leads given to me and the police have led to a dead end,” said her distraught sister, Jannet Rowan.

“The reason the police opened a kidnapping case was because we received two ransoms for money to release my sister. In the first message I received they threatened to kill her and in the second they demanded R20,000 to release her. That turned out to be a prank and dead end too, so the kidnapping case has been closed until further information is received.”

“I ask from the bottom of my heart for any help to find Wendy. There must be someone who can give us solid information about her disappearance. My sister is still out there and I will never give up looking for her until we find her.”

If you have seen Wendy, call Insp Eddie de Bruin on  031-903-0520, Julian James on 061-088-8887 or Jannet Rowan on 061-088-8889.
