Learners get their act on at Artscape

They competed in the national acting competition sponsored by kykNET.

Out of 500 auditions in South Africa and Namibia, Kingsway High School’s grade 12 head boy, Asanda Mngadi and Yusuf Hajat, a grade 10 learner, together with 78 other contestants were recently invited to perform at Artscape in Cape Town.

They competed in the national acting competition sponsored by kykNET. Yusuf made it to the top 30 contestants and Asanda continued to the end to reach the top 16. In addition, Asanda was offered a role in a play at the prestigious Woordfees festival in Stellenbosch in 2020.
