BREAKING NEWS: Teenager drowns at Baggies Beach

Toti SAPS and Metro Police will launch a search for his body.

A 16-year-old boy is suspected to have drowned after he was swept out at Baggies Beach on Monday afternoon, 10 June. According to a Voluntary Emergency Medical Assistance (VEMA) paramedic who was on scene, the boy was trying to cross the lagoon with friends at about 2.30pm when he was swept off his feet by the strong current and carried out to sea.

His friends alerted the lifeguards, but his body is missing. Toti SAPS and Metro Police attended the scene and will launch a search for his body.
