Mugger arrested with stolen goods

The stolen property, including the phone, was found in his possession.

A mugger was nabbed in the early hours of Sunday morning, 2 June in a combined effort from local crime fighters.
“At about 3am a woman was robbed at knife-point on Jacob’s Ladder. We responded and with the help of ET Rapid Response, the phone was tracked along Beach Road,” said Community Crime Prevention Organisation (CCPO) committee member, George Snodey.

The alleged mugger.

When the suspect spotted the CCPO approaching, he fled towards the beach. He was chased by CCPO, ET and Blue Security officers. “Metro Police officers, who carry a CCPO radio, were in the area and assisted by extracting the suspect from the bushes he was seen running into. The stolen property, including the phone, was found in his possession, but unfortunately the handbag was not found.

The suspect was arrested and detained. “Be careful walking around in Toti after dark, as there are lots of vagrants around, looking for an easy target,” warned Snodey.

What was found on him.
