Tenders express interest in repairing Rockview Road damage

A temporary roadway has also been requested to be installed at the Rockview and Kingsway intersection to alleviate the current traffic congestion.

Following a Tuesday morning site visit to the Rockview Road washaway, ward 97 councillor, Andre Beetge confirmed that well experienced and seasoned tenders expressed an interest in the repair process.

“Tenders close on Friday (17 May) and thereafter we will continue in our efforts to start the work as soon as possible. Through our efforts, we have ensured that this project remained top priority, resulting in it being the first project after the recent storm that it going out to tender.

“Once the project commences, we hope for a time frame of 24 weeks until completion. We have further requested that a temporary roadway be installed at the Rockview and Kingsway intersection to alleviate the current traffic congestion,” added Beetge.
