Do you know where to vote on Wednesday?

How to find the voting stations in the larger Amanzimtoti area.

The South African national and provincial government elections 2019 (NGE2019) have been proclaimed for Wednesday, 8 May.

Ward 97 councillor Andre Beetge assists with some information to make the process easier.

You can SMS your ID number (only the number) to 32810 at a cost of R1 per SMS and you will receive an electronic response to confirm if and where you are registered, or visit the website at www.election.org.za and type in your ID number to confirm registration status.

You should register at the voting station closest to your home address, but make sure the voting station is within the ward where you reside. The following voting stations exist between Illovo Beach and Athlone Park:

Ward 97 –

  • Warner Beach Junior Primary (Harcombe Road),
  • Lions Club (Hall Road),
  • Amanzimtoti Civic Centre (corner of Hutchison and Riverside roads) and
  • Doonheights Primary School (Longacres Drive).

Ward 93 –

  • Kuswag Skool (Kuswag Lane),
  • Umbogintwini Primary School (Prince Road, Athlone Park) and
  • Athlone Park library (off Linscott Road).
