Determined pupils clear 120kg of litter from beach

Despite a long journey from Johannesburg, they helped clear 120kg of litter within half an hour off the beach.

Clean Surf Project (CSP) teamed up with Outdoor Environmental Education Africa and the amazing grade 7 children from Mulbarton Primary School in Johannesburg at ATKV Natalia on Wednesday, 24 April.

“Despite a long journey from Johannesburg, arriving tired and hungry, these boys and girls helped clear 120kg of litter within half an hour off the beach,” said an impressed Romy Wenzel of CSP.

An educational fun presentation followed after the clean-up and the school was presented with a CSP trophy for their interest and participation in environmental consciousness. “You are all rock stars. Thank you to ATKV Natalia for hosting us,” said Romy.
