Stolen bicycle recovered and returned to owner

A photo was shared on social media and a School Road resident confirmed the bicycle was his.

Diligent work from Community Crime Prevention Organisation (CCPO) and Blue Security response officers lead to the recovery of an expensive bicycle that was returned to its relieved owner on Tuesday, 2 April.

CCPO committee member, George Snodey said they received information regarding the bicycle being sold to someone in Felikisi the previous day. “CCPO and Blue Security patrol officer, Mbuyiselo ‘Triple M’ Mdunjane and his crewman Mbambo Nhlanhla went to check it out and found the bike,” said Snodey.

Not knowing where it came from or if it was stolen, a photo was shared on social media and a School Road resident confirmed the bicycle was his.

“Armed with a case number, we returned to Felikisi to retrieve the bike. The person who had bought the bike told us who had sold it to him. The suspects are known to us, having previously being arrested for house breaking, and it is just a matter of time until we apprehend them.”
