Khanya Hospice’s sterling work in the community was acknowledged with a much-needed boost from the Willing Hands organisation after a R3,000 donation was handed over to CEO, Neil McDonald.

“A big thumbs-up from all of us at Khanya Hospice to all the members of Willing Hands who have so kindly opened their hearts and wallets to make this financial contribution,” said Neil. “They not only brought the donation to the office but pledged their continued support to Khanya Hospice.”

During the visit Neil shared some of the difficulties the nurses have to endure and deal with in their daily work. “We are not government funded and have to rely on the goodwill of kind people. On behalf of Khanya Hospice, thank you so much for thinking of us and supporting the work that the nurses do in the large area we cover from Isipingo to Hibberdene.”
