Four suspects hijacked a blue Toyota Etios in Viden Road at about 9pm.

Saturday night, 30 March was a busy night for criminals in Amanzimtoti, according to the Community Crime Prevention Organisation (CCPO).

Four suspects hijacked a blue Toyota Etios in Viden Road at about 9pm.

At about 3am a CCPO patrol guard surprised two suspects carrying a flat screen TV in John Craven Road. Unfortunately they escaped into Ezimangweni and the TV was not recovered.

A white Toyota Fortuner was stolen in Ridge Road but recovered by the tracking company despite the criminals removing the tracking unit.

An attempted business break-in occurred at Arbour Crossing early on Sunday morning, but the suspects were disturbed by the centre’s security and fled empty-handed.

A housebreaking occurred at a complex in Ridge Road, where cellphones, laptops and wallets were stolen.
