A woman and a man have died on the N2 southbound carriageway at Joyner Road, Prospecton, after a bakkie and truck collided minutes ago.
Rescue Care paramedics arrived to find carnage on the southbound roadway. The couple, who are believed to be in their 40s, sustained critical injuries and were declared dead at the scene.

The truck driver sustained moderate injuries and was taken to a nearby hospital.
Traffic is severely affected and motorists are advised to avoid the area at all costs.
Police have responded to the scene and are investigating the cause of the accident.
