Wanted intruder identified and arrested

CCPO, ET Rapid Response and Toti SAPS members found the suspect sitting at the entrance to the Toti Main Beach parking area.

An intruder, who stabbed a Beach Road resident five times the early hours of Wednesday morning, 6 March, has been arrested and positively identified in a police line-out.

Community Crime Prevention Organisation (CCPO) committee member, George Snodey received information from an informer identifying the intruder. “After going into KwaMakhutha to identify the suspect’s residence, we paid him a midnight visit to see if he was hiding at home,” said Snodey.

Unfortunately he wasn’t there and he disappeared for a few days with the CCPO’s informers working hard to locate him. “On Tuesday (12 March) at about 4pm I received a call and CCPO, ET Rapid Response and Toti SAPS members found him sitting at the entrance to the Toti Main Beach parking area and he was apprehended.

On Thursday he was positively identified by the victim in an ID parade in Durban.”

The intruder allegedly responsible for stabbing a Beach Road resident five times was apprehended at Toti Main Beach parking area on Tuesday, 12 March.
