Baby’s body discovered in Doonside

The baby's body was found about 100m north of the Doonside Skiboat Club launch site.

The body of a foetus was found washed up at Inyoni Rocks in Doonside this morning (Tuesday, 12 March). Community Crime Prevention Organisation committee member, George Snodey, who attended the scene, said a member of the public spotted the body and contacted them.

“The body was found about 100m north of the Doonside Skiboat Club launch site. It’s difficult to say whether the baby was dumped there or washed down from the river. I suspect it was washed down.”
