Teams gear up for Rugby Nite Series final

Kuswag will face visitors Scottburgh in the primary schools’ final to retain their title.

All eyes will be on the Amanzimtoti Sports Centre this Friday afternoon, 22 February to see if Kuswag can retain their title of Rugby Nite Series champs when they take on Kingsway in the final. Last Friday, 15 February Kuswag made it three victories out of three matches when they annihilated Kingsway 34-0. Kingsway fans will be hoping the final will be a more exciting and evenly matched affair.

In the other high schools match, Amanzimtoti beat Pinetown Boys High (PBH) 16-10. They will face the visitors for third place this week.

In the senior primary schools division, Kuswag thrashed Doon Heights 39-0, and they will face visitors Scottburgh in the final to retain their title. In the other matches, Umkomaas beat Athlone Park 18-5, and Amanzimtoti narrowly beat Warner Beach prep 10-8.

Fixtures for the senior primary schools this Friday: 

* 2.15pm – Amanzimtoti vs Warner Beach prep (for fifth and sixth place);
* 3.15pm – Doon Heights vs Umkomaas (for third and fourth place);
* 4.15pm – Kuswag vs Scottsburgh (grand final)

High schools:

* 6pm – Amanzimtoti vs PBH (for third and fourth place);
* 7.15pm – Kuswag vs Kingsway (grand final).
