Tips for thin and fine hair:

1. Try blow-drying your hair when its upside down to give your locks extra volume. By parting differently to what you usually would, you give your hair that extra lift on the top.

2. Add a small blob of volumising mousse to your roots. Extra product on the length of your hair will end up weighing it down, possibly leaving it looking greasier and less volumised.

3. Take full advantage of the miracles that come from using coconut oil. Create a mask with the oil and apply it to your hair on a weekly basis.

4. When planning to straighten your hair, it can still be blown upside down. When straightening, don’t overdo it on the tips as this leaves your locks looking limp.

5. Take a vitamin B7 supplement for 3-6 months (or longer) to strengthen your hair follicles and reduce amount of hair fall.

6. When at the salon, avoid cuts and styles that involve layering or feathering your hair. A blunt cut makes your hair appear thicker.

7. Rocking a shorter style will give your hair more of a lift than longer ones.

8. Try turning down the water temperature when washing your hair. Very hot showers can make your hair weak, fragile and more prone to damage than it already is.
