Rugby night series action sizzles

This year’s total prize money is worth about R45,000 in cash and vouchers.

Kuswag Skool drew first blood in the opening rounds of the schools Rugby Nite Series at Amanzimtoti Sports Centre on Friday, 31 January with a convincing 33-16 win over Amanzimtoti High School. In the other senior match, Kingsway High School drew 10-all with Pinetown Boys High.

All rugby fans are encouraged to head to Amanzimtoti Rugby Club tomorrow afternoon (Friday, 8 February) for the second round of the series.

As it stands, Kuswag Hoerskool heads up the log with five points, followed by Kingsway and Pinetown on two points, with Amanzimtoti still to score. In the primary schools battle, Kuswag were 26-0 victorious over Amanzimtoti, and Doon Heights beat Warner Beach Prep 18-10.
