Amanzimtoti voting registration turn-out slightly up

South Africans can register to vote at the IEC offices located at the Sizakala Centre in Winklespruit.

The seven voting stations in the urban area of Amanzimtoti enjoyed a “slightly better than expected” turn-out during the last voter registration weekend. That is according to ward 97 councillor, Andre Beetge who said there was an increase of between 113% to 122% of what they expected.

“However, it still indicates that 37% of people eligible to vote have still not registered. Although this was the last registration weekend, registration will continue until the president announces the date of the elections.”

South Africans can register to vote at the IEC offices located in the M-Projects container at the Sizakala Centre in Gracedale Street, Winklespruit, Monday to Friday from 8am to 3.30pm.
