A 12-YEAR-old boy sustained a grazed forehead following an incident at St Anton flat-block in Doonside at 10.30pm last Friday.

It appears the child’s parents were fishing nearby.

The injured boy and his friend were allegedly trying to start his parents’ car. A passing police reservist considered the situation suspicious and flashed his torch in an attempt to stop the boys.

However, it is believed the boys then reversed in what was conceived to be an attempt to get away. The policeman fired a warning shot.
