CCPO recovers cellphone in Felikisi

On Tuesday, 15 January we got a call to come fetch the phone, which was handed back to the owner.

The Community Crime Prevention Organisation (CCPO) went the extra mile to recover a young man’s cellphone that went missing from the change rooms at Baggies Beach last week. “We got a lead from an informer that a car guard at Baggies had sold it to someone in Felikisi,” said CCPO committee member, George Snodey.

CCPO and Blue Security patrol officer, Mbuyiselo ‘Triple M’ Mdunjane and CCPO crewman Mbambo Nhlanhla went in search of the buyer. “After locating the premises, we learnt he had left a while earlier. We informed his wife about the consequences if we didn’t get the phone back. On Tuesday, 15 January we got a call to fetch the phone, which was handed back to the owner.

The family live in a Doonside block of flats which is a CCPO client, so it made getting the phone back all the more worthwhile,” said Snodey.
