Missing Amanzimtoti cat’s owner desperate for closure

The cat owner is desperately seeking to make contact with the person who allegedly found her missing cat's body and buried it in their garden.

AN Amanzimtoti cat owner is desperately seeking to make contact with the person who allegedly told a Seadoone Mall stationery store assistant they had found her missing cat’s body and buried it in their garden.

Ingrid Midgley’s cat, Timmie went missing some six months ago and she is desperate for closure on the fate of her beloved pet.

“Timmie has been missing since 10 June,” explained Ingrid Midgley. “I have handed out flyers, put up posters everywhere and spread the word of his disappearance all these months.”

Timmie is a very large, ginger and white, neutered male cat, with a collar and a tag with his name.

Timmie the missing cat.

Ingrid explained that the vet told her a woman visited Seadoone Mall’s stationery store and on seeing the pamphlet about missing Timmie, remarked to an assistant that the cat was deceased and she had buried its body in her garden.

Ingrid’s efforts to make contact with this woman have been unsuccessful.

“I just want to speak with her to try confirm that it was Timmie. No-one understands how losing him has broken me. My feelings are so deep for my cat and I am desperate for closure on this,” she said.

“I need to know if this was definitely him or if there’s a chance he’s still out there and I can keep searching. If it was him, I want to know if what state he was found – was it hit over by a car or living at the home for a while before he fell ill. I need this closure so that I can move on.”

If anyone has information about this situation, call Ingrid Midgley on 031-916-1543 or 072-223-1446.
