Holiday fun at local libraries

At Amanzimtoti library, the fun starts from Tuesday, 18 December until 22 December.

Local libraries are offering holiday programmes to assist with bored little ones for a few hours this December holiday.

Galleria Mall library invites children aged six to 12-years to join in its holiday programme on 13, 14, 18 and 19 December, with various activities from 10am to noon.

At Amanzimtoti library, the fun starts from Tuesday, 18 December until 22 December.
Four to 12-years-old will create a Christmas decoration. They need to take gold paper, gold, silver and green glitter and cardboard. Two to 12-years-old will make Christmas boots. They need to take stencils, red and white foam and glue.

Four to 12-years-old will do a jingle bell tree. Take popsicle sticks, Christmas bells, red and white ribbon and glue. Four to 12-years-old will do a jester marionette. They need cardboard and split pins. Four to 12-years-old will do a place mat. They need coloured cardboard and glue. Call Toti library on 031-311-5882/3.

At Athlone Park library, similar craft-based activities take place from 19 December to 4 January from 10am to 11am. 18 December – doily turkey craft; 19 December – handprint Christmas tree; 20 December – paper plate Christmas tree; 21 December – peg locust; 27 December – cupcake flowers; 28 December – chalk stencilled Christmas light craft; 3 January – pencil pals; 4 January – pom-pom butterfly.
