Big-hearted bikers gift donation to Kingsburgh Welfare

The community is urged to keep the welfare office in mind this festive season, and extend the 'gift of giving' to the Warner Beach-based organisation.

IRON Maiden Motorcycle Club members dropped off a donation of clothes, linen and groceries at Kingsburgh Welfare on Monday, 3 December which they had collected over the last few months.

The community is urged to keep the welfare office in mind this festive season, and extend the ‘gift of giving’ to the Warner Beach-based organisation.

Kind-hearted bikers Truzanne Minny and Madeline Humphris of Iron Maiden MC made the delivery of clothes, linen and groceries on Monday, in the hope that the collections could be sold in the shop and raise funds for the organisation, to enable it to keep up its great work.

Kingsburgh Child and Family Welfare’s Sandra Govender explained that the organisation plans to provide food parcels for the dependent families this festive season, as well as sustain them in January.

“In January people are hit the hardest. We also would like to provide lunch stuff as well as stationery for underprivileged children,” she said. “Any food items, anything festive like jelly, biscuits and custard, as well as toiletries, will be greatly appreciated.”

The welfare plans to distribute all food parcels by 18 December, so the community is urged to make their contributions of donations by then. Donations can be made to the Kingsburgh Welfare at 2 Hall Road, Warner Beach (next to Kingsburgh library). Call the office on 031-916-2274 for more information.
