Young Amanzimtoti crusader needs help with Bible outreach goals

I need the Toti public’s help, as the CLF has run out of funds to supply me with more Bibles.

A young Amanzimtoti girl needs the public’s help to further her cause of donating Bibles to children. Shania-Lee Mayoss (13) is spreading the word of God by donating children’s Bibles she has collected.

Her first donation of six Bibles was made to Operation Bobbi Bear in July and since then, has handed out another 160 she was sent from the Christian Literature Fund (CLF) to help with its mission to give away one million Bibles to one million children. The CLF was so impressed with Shania-Lee’s commitment, they have made her an ambassador.

“After I bought three Bibles from the Crazy Store, the owner and staff donated three, which I gave to Bobbi Bear,” she said. “After that I asked people to donate on social media and did an interview on Radio Ovevaal and Jacaranda, and Maroela Media did an online article on me. The pastor from my church, Lewende Waters donated funds and Extreme Model Management did a drive and gave me a huge donation.

To date I have given out 259 Bibles. I am passionate about this project and want to continue but funds have dried up.” The Kuswag Skool grade 6 pupil is the youngest KZN ambassador CLF has appointed in 60 years. “I need the Toti public’s help, as the CLF has run out of funds to supply me with more Bibles. I need people to donate to the CLF for it to be able to afford to buy more Bibles, so that I can put in another order and continue my work.

The Reach for a Dream Foundation helped me distribute to children in hospitals, which made me so happy. It made me feel so good and it’s very exciting to work with children. It’s work I want to do.”

Shania-Lee also visited Winklespruit Caravan Park with 80 Bibles, which wasn’t enough, so she returned with another 60. She is buying three different Bibles for one to seven-years-old, eight to 12, and 13-years and older. If you can to donate children’s Bibles, call her mother Thea on 079-699-1500 or visit the CLF website at https://clf.co.za/donations to donate.
