Spread your light with Khanya Hospice

Hospice is looking for volunteers who would be able to help with selling the globes.

Khanya Hospice’s annual ‘tree of lights’ will be lit once again for the people of the Upper South Coast.

“People who have lost a loved one are welcome to buy a light or, for those who would like to write a message on a card, bring it to one of our Hospice shops and we will hang it on a special place that will be provided for all to see and read. Some find closure and comfort for their pain and longing for their loved one by doing this,” said Khanya Hospice CEO, Neil McDonald.

“This is one of our annual fundraisers but more so, remembering those who have gone before us.” The tree and the Hospice gardens will be lit from Monday, 26 November, with a tree at Umkomaas Primary School to be lit on 10 December and one at the Khanya Hospice fair in Craigieburn on 30 November, 1 and 2 December.

Hospice is also looking for volunteers who would be able to help with the selling of the globes, which can be done from your home, to friends and family. Anyone willing and able to help, call Neil on 083-597-8985 or email hospice@scottnet.co.za.
