CCPO nabs Whitfield Drive housebreakers

The men broke into a Whitfield Drive home and attempted to escape to Umgababa.

Two housebreakers learnt a hard lesson that it doesn’t pay to break into a house in the area patrolled by the Community Crime Prevention Organisation (CCPO) when they were nabbed on the N2 highway on Thursday, 23 November.

CCPO committee member, George Snodey said the men broke into a Whitfield Drive home and attempted to escape to Umgababa. “Unfortunately for them the CCPO, ET Rapid Response, Blue Security, Metro Police K9 unit and Toti SAPS all share our radio network, which makes it a large group of people looking for you.

The two thugs, who are well known to all of us, were arrested on the highway and taken back to Toti SAPS for further investigation. If you have still not joined us in our fight against crime, it’s not too late. More members means more resources,” he said.
