Amanzimtoti Lions spread Christmas cheer

The big surprise was when Father Christmas arrived to hand out presents to all the elders.

Christmas came early for residents of the Elders’ Voice when Amanzimtoti Lions went from house to house to serve them a Christmas lunch on Sunday, 11 and Sunday, 18 November.

Tables were decorated with crackers, red serviettes and a wine punch was served. The elders were served a roast with vegetables and pudding, which was the tasty Lions Christmas cake with custard and ice cream.

“However, the big surprise was when Father Christmas arrived to hand out presents to all the elders. There was lots of laughter, tears and hugs,” said project chairman, Margaret Haus.

“It warmed my heart so see how these elders appreciate every little thing we do for them. Amanzimtoti Lions thank Joanne Herbst of the Elders’ Voice for giving us the opportunity to serve them.”
