Etiquette to practise when visiting a new born

You should wait at least 24 hours after the baby is born to visit/call.

A newborn baby gives everybody happy vibes. This is also the time when everyone gathers around family and friends to visit the new arrival.

IT is wise not to touch a newborn when you do visit as this can endanger the fragile little child. It may aggravate their skin when touched, or if they somehow get their mouth on your hands, they could possibly ingest some of the sanitizer.

What to do when you meet a new born:

1- You should wait at least 24 hours after the baby was born to visit/call.

2- During the visit you should not wear any perfume or smoke… at all!

3- If you are going to take photographs of the baby – seek permission first and make sure that your flash isn’t on.

4- Do not make a noise – the baby is very sensitive.

5- Leave the room if the mother is breastfeeding.

6- Do not extend your visit longer than 30 minutes.

7- Do not visit when you are sick.

8- Try to avoid kissing the baby.
